Happy New Year from Helping Hands Rehab!
As we begin a new year, we wanted to take time to reflect on some of the happenings at our office during 2019.
Here are some of our favorite highlights:
- In March, we filmed two commercials here at our office. Did you happen to see them?
- Nancy continued her education by attending the Annual Wisconsin Hand Experience, sponsored by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She’s looking forward to attending this year’s conference as well. In November, Nancy renewed her Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certificate from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. This is a 5 year certificate that Nancy has had since 1994! Remember, unless your hand therapist shows up in a search on this website, he/she IS NOT a certified hand therapist!
- Jennifer Franklin joined the Helping Hands Rehab team in August as receptionist. Jennifer has a BS in Marketing from Illinois State University. Prior to joining Helping Hands, she worked locally as a substitute teacher and volunteered for two non-profits assisting with their marketing/pr.
- In early fall, we formed a new partnership with Bardavon Health Innovations. This new partnership allows us bring our services to even more local Workers’ Compensation patients.
- We concluded our year by partnering with the Harlem Roscoe Fire Department to collect pancake mix and syrup for their annual holiday food drive. Your generous donations helped supply holiday meals for 23 local families.
- 80% of the patients we saw in 2019 were brand new to our practice. We sincerely appreciate all of the referrals we get from our local doctors, as well as our patients who have referred us to their friends and family. Remember, YOU have a choice as to where you go and who you see for therapy. Additionally, we would like to thank our return patients for once again trusting us with their care.
Switching gears, several things did not change this year. One thing that has not changed is our location. We are still conveniently located at 5003 Hononegah Rd. in Roscoe. We see patients from both sides of the Stateline, and even from as far away as the suburbs of Chicago.
